The expanded state executives of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, comprising the state executives and representatives of local government chairmen of the party, on Monday, paid a condolence visit to Ogbomoso home of former governor of Oyo State, late Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Speaking at the Opadoyin villa of the former governor, the leader of the delegation, Prince Adefioye Adekanye, who is the State Caretaker Vice Chairman and Oyo South Senatorial Caretaker Chairman of the party, eulogised the unique and unparalleled quality of the late Alao-Akala.
Adekanye lamented the vacuum which the former governor’s death has created in the party, saying he left when APC was already thinking of him leading the campaign for 2023 general elections in Oyo State.
The vice chairman prayed that God will grant the former governor eternal rest and that God’s unstoppable will be upon the family aftet the demise of their patriach.
Responding, the matriarch of the family, Mrs Alao-Akala and former Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. Olamijuwon Alao-Akala, thanked the party’s state executives for coming.
