The Caretaker Executive Committee members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have been sworn-in.

The committee members were sworn-in by the Notary Public, Barrister Jide Makinde on Thursday, December 17, at an event presided over by the caretaker chairman of the party in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke, who had earlier been sworn-in on Friday, December 9, by the National Caretaker/Convention Committee of the party in Abuja.

Also, sworn-in alongside the state caretaker executives were the caretaker chairmen of the party in the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.

The Local Government Caretaker Chairmen are expected to swear-in their executives, as well as the ward chairmen who will also swear-in the ward executives.

In his inauguration speech, the caretaker chairman of the party, Oke, admonished the new caretaker executives to guard their loins and get ready for serious work that is ahead of them.

Oke emphasised that in line with the directive of the national caretaker committee of APC,the chairmen of the party at local governments and wards should not discriminate against anyone, especially those returning to the party.

He urged the executives at local government and ward level to look forward to the guidelines from the national headquarters for the upcoming Membership Registration and Revalidation Exercise.

At the ceremony were Hon. Lekan Adeyemo, caretaker deputy chairman for Oyo State; Prince Adefioye Adekanye, Oyo South Senatorial Chairman; Alh AbdulRasaq Arikewuyo, Oyo North Senatorial Chairman; Alh Hon Mojeed Olaoya, State Caretaker secretary; Baale John Fatona, Assistant State Caretaker Secretary; Hon. Morufu Lamolo, State Organising Secretary; Mrs Mabel Williams, State Women Leader; Mogaji Ishaq Ajibola Areokuta, State Youth Leader; Dr AbdulAzeez Olatunde, State Caretaker Publicity Secretary among others.
