The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, in Oyo State, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela has resigned from the cabinet of the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
He tendered his resignation letter on Monday in order to concentrate on contesting for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Last Saturday, Governor Ajimobi urged aides and commissioners who have 2019 ambitions to resign on Monday
In a statement on Tuesday, Olowofela, confirming his resignation, said: “Today, I tendered my resignation letter this morning to pursue my Federal House of Representatives ambition (Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency).
“I resigned following my resolution to contest the Federal House of Representatives seat having obtained the APC nomination form”.
