Oyo State government on Tuesday announced a shift in the date of the Common Entrance examination into its schools of science from Wednesday August 19, to Tuesday September 1, 2020.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology , Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, said the shift in date was due to the clash in the examination date with the ongoing West African School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), in which students were expected to write Economics and Agricultural Science on the said date.
Also, the date of the screening test for placement into Junior Secondary School 1(JSS1) for public and private schools in Oyo State has been shifted from Thursday, August 20, to Saturday August, 22 2020, due to another clash of the date of the exercise with another WASSCE subject.
“All parents and guidance are advised to note these changes and prepare their wards for the exercise at the stipulated periods with strict compliance with the State’s covid-19 protocols,” Olaleye said.
