As results of Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections trickle in, Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde is in comfortable lead.
As of 10:20 pm on Saturday, results from 5,077 of 6,390 polling units in the state have been uploaded to INEC’s IREV portal.
The Oyo governorship race is between Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has postponed the collation of the governorship election results in the state till Sunday, March 19, 2023.
The INEC Public Relations Officer in the state, Babatunde Awolowo, who disclosed this on Saturday did not give any reason for the postponement.
He said the collation will commence at 9am on Sunday.
