The Oyo State Health Insurance Agency(OYSHIA) has remodeled and upgraded the workers staff clinic at the state secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
Coommissioning the clinic recently, Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, maintained that the upgrading and rehabilitation of the staff clinic is part of the ongoing massive remodeling and upgrading of health care facilities across the state .
He stressed that every health care centres in Oyo State must be fully furnished to the standard of the staff clinic.
Makinde said the upgrading of the clinic was to take care of the health of civil servants.
“Civil servants spend more than 50 per cent of their time at workplace, which makes it expedient for them to have access to good health care delivery and that is exactly what we have done with this facility,” he said.
The governor also flagged off the cervical screening test for female workers in the public service, adding that the plan is to keep civil servants happy so that they can do their work efficiently.
He expressed the commitment of his administration to improving the health sector.
Makinde described the Executive Secretary of OYSHIA, Dr Sola Akande, as one of the best hands he has worked with.
The event was attended by deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan; Commissioner for Health, Dr Basiru Bello; Commissioner for Information,Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun among others.
