Oyo Police direct hospitals, clinics, to treat bullet wounds before seeking police report

The Oyo State Police Command has advised public and private hospitals and clinics in the state “to always commence treatment of patients with bullet wounds brought to them first to save their lives while they (hospitals) simultaneously report to the police”.

A press release by the Command’s spokesman, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu said “this advice becomes necessary to avoid a situation whereby innocent victims of armed robbery attack are refused medical treatment on grounds of unavailability of police report”.

He added: “It will, however, be appreciated if such reports are promptly brought to the notice of the police to enable them take further and appropriate actions”.
