Oyo State has recorded 41 new coronavirus cases, bring the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 1432.
Governor Seyi Makinde disclosed this in a post via his Twitter handle.
According to the governor, the cases were recorded eight local government areas across the state.
“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for forty-one suspected cases came back POSITIVE.
“The cases are from Ibadan North (12), Lagelu (6), Egbeda (5), Oluyole (5), Ibadan Southwest (4), Ido (4), Ibadan North East (3), Ogbomosho North (1) and Ona Ara (1) Local Government Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 1432.
“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache, loss of smell/taste and shortness of breath,” Makinde said.
Data obtained from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) website showed that Oyo State currently has 717 active coronavirus cases, while 703 patients have been discharged. The state has also recorded 12 coronavirus-related deaths.
