The Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, has charged staff of the board to be more dedicated and punctual at work in the new year.
Adeniran gave the charge on Wednesday at the New Year prayer session of the board held at its premises in Agodi, Ibadan.
He equally charged staff at the Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities across the state, to be more diligent and punctual at work.
The chairman identified training and retraining of staff as one of the means of achieving good basic and qualitative education in the state.
Adeniran, who stated that qualitative education remains one of the cardinal aims of the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration in the state, lauded the governor for his commitment to education.
He equally applauded teachers and staff members of the board for their dedication and hard work.
The chairman solicited the cooperation of teachers and staf in the basic education sub-sector in the New Year, adding that the board will not relent in ensuring quality education in the state.
In her remarks, the Ag. Executive Secretary, Mrs. Abosede Owoeye, appreciated the SUBEB boss for his love for the staff.
Owoeye also admitted that Adeniran’s love for staff and teachers has been one of their motivating factors.
