The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has embarked on monitoring exercise as the second term unified examination in all public primary schools commences across the state.
SUBEB chairman, Dr Nureni Adeniran, while monitoring the exercise on Wednesday in Ibadan, said the motive behind the examination exercise is to ensure simultaneous participation of all schools in the examination process.
He urged the school head teachers to ensure adherence to the time table given to them by the state government, noting that the level of preparedness of schools and students was quite impressive.
Adeniran, who applauded the smooth conduct of the exercise, said efforts and arrangements put in place by the state government in printing unified question papers for all schools in the state would ensure better performance of pupils.
He stressed that the introduction of a unified examination timetable and questions was to give better credence to the exercise.
Adeniran expressed satisfaction about the exercise, saying both schools and pupils adhered to examination instructions.
Schools visited by the board’s monitoring team are located in Ibadan North, Ibarapa, Ibadan North West, Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East Local Government Areas.
