In order to make life more comfortable for enrollees, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA) is planning to hold meetings with service providers across the state.
Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Sola Akande, disclosed this while featuring on a radio programme in Ibadan at the weekend.
According to the OYSHIA boss, this will give the service providers the opportunity to fully understand how to operationalise the scheme in their terrain.
“One of the things we concluded during monitoring is that we need to have more meetings with providers, especially outside Ibadan, because some of them don’t actually understand fully how to operationalise the scheme in their terrain.
“We have to up our training and retraining and enlightenment programme.
“To achieve universal health coverage, we must think beyond, just having lives. Facilities must come up with programmes and activities through which they can begin to ask people to come to their facilities,” he said.
