The Oyo State Health Insurance Agency(OYSHIA) will launch a community-based health insurance at Kajorepo community in January 2023.

OYSHIA pioneers health insurance for pensioners

The executive secretary of the agency, Dr Sola Akande, disclosed this while speaking on a radio programme.

He said there will be an official flag off for the community initiative with Kajorepo community.

Akande stated that different communities are at different stages of enrollment, adding that the mandate of OYSHIA is to get every member of the state into the scheme.

The executive secretary said the insurance scheme has several channels through which an individual can come on board. The first channel is individual where the person will pay minimum of N8000 and through community initiative where each individual will pay N4000 to come on board.
