The executive secretary of the agency, Dr Sola Akande, made the disclosure while speaking on a radio programme at the weekend.

He said: “There will be a two-day training for the doctors that was employed to know the nitty gritty of health insurance and they will resume fully at their duty posts by January.”

Akande said that there are 15 communities that are already on the scheme, stressing that they are at different stages in the enrollment process.

He added that the enrollment process will commence at the agency’s zonal offices from January 2023.
