The alarming rate at which Peoples Democratic Party members are defecting to the All Progressives Congress since power changed hands on March 28, has caused many to worry about how the president-elect would handle the situation.
Speaking in Daura on Saturday, President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari assured that there was nothing to fear as the influence of the defectors would be limited in his government.
“I have no fears of PDP defectors,” he said
“I hope the people that are defecting will accept the fact that they are joining the people who succeeded. So, I don’t think they will just come and say they want to be ministers next month simply because they were ministers before”
