Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators have finally gained entrance into the Narional Assembly after operatives of the DSS cordoned off the area this morning.
The operatives said they were acting on “orders from above”. They prevented journalists, National Assembly staff and some legislators from entering.
Reports had it that senators prevented from entering the complex were those elected on the platform of the PDP and those who recently defected from the APC to the PDP.
It was however alleged that the move was to allow some APC senators impeach Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
The senators are now within the Assembly complex, vowing to resist anti-democratic forces from destroying the countries democracy.
