In his efforts to ensure that his constituents are gainfully employed and not living from hand to mouth, the lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Akin Alabi, has recommended a good number of them for employment in both government and private establishments.

The lawmaker has made recommending his constituents, especially the youths and brilliant minds, to reputable organisations as part of his constituency outreach.

Since he started representing the constituency in 2019, over 100 people have secured good and quality jobs in both government and private establishments, through Hon Alabi’s recommendation.

Speaking on why he is recommending his constituents for jobs, the lawmaker said it is part of his own way of giving back to the society, adding that he is empowering them so that they can be useful to their immediate family, society, state and the country at large.

“I believe in empowering people, especially the youths, so that they can be independent and be useful to themsleves, their families, society, the state and Nigeria as a whole.

“The only way to lift people out of poverty is by equipping them with the requisite skills and jobs. This, I believe will assist them to meet their needs and cater for their families,” he added.

Hon Alabi assured his constituents that they will continue to enjoy dividends of democracy as long as he is representing them and promised to do more than what he has done if they elect him for a second term in office in the February 25 poll.
