The Ogun State Police Command on Friday arrested a 30-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Ahmed Jimoh, for allegedly raping two underage sisters in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The suspect, is presently in the custody of the anti-human trafficking department of the police, at the Eleweran Police Headquarters with the victims and their parents.
It was reliably gathered that the suspect resides in the same building as the victims’ parents at Ladeo Estate, along Ayetoro Road, Abeokuta North Local Government.
According to PREMIUM TIMES’ report, the father of the victims said each time his children, aged 11 and seven, returned home from school, the suspect sexually assaulted them. The crime was discovered recently when the parents noticed the younger of the two girls expressing some discomfort.
“The suspect lives at the upper floor of the building,” the children’s father said. “Each time the kids are sent home from their mother’s shop (not far from the house), he would lure them into his room to have sex.”
When contacted, the Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident. He said investigation was ongoing and the suspect would be arraigned in court.
