The leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi, Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a. MC Oluomo has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police following last week’s fracas in the area that claimed many lives.
MC Oluomo had been issued a 24-hour ultimatum, which expired on Friday, February 27.
A power tussle between MC Oluomo and his rival in the Oshodi area, Germany Oshodi, had last week snowballed into violence that claimed several lives last week.
that led to a fracas where many dead and others in critical conditions.
Germany of Oshodi and several other suspects have surrendered to police following the ultimatum issued.
Sources have it that Oluomo has since absconded to the UK where he is hiding where he hopes to get the intervention of his godfather, a prominent politician in Lagos.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Lagos Police Command, Ken Nwosu, has also issued a release to that effect that since Oluomo had not reported himself to the police, he might be on the run and that the police would sure get him.
The police spokesman said: “He has not reported. He was given 24 hours to report and he did not report. Technically, he has been declared wanted, but we have not made the pronouncement yet. We still want to perfect the court papers to declare him wanted , we will do that. He has not been seen. If he did not show up, you know what that means”.
