UK Police have raided a flat in Brighton they believe may have been owned by Parsons Green bomber Ahmed Hassan.
The 12-storey block of flats has been evacuated and items inside the flat are being treated as hazardous and potentially explosive.
In a statement, Detective Superintendent Carwyn Hughes from Sussex Police said: “We are currently on scene and we are advising residents to avoid the area for the time being.”
Officers arrived at the flat at around 7.20am on Saturday morning, and have set up a cordon for safety reasons, Daily Star reports.
The flat is believed to have belonged to Hassan, who allegedly injured 30 people with a homemade explosive device at Parsons Green underground station in September last year.
