The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan have arrived in Nigeria for a three-day private visit to promote the Invictus Games and interact with injured soldiers and their families.
Prince Harry and Meghan, who took an overnight flight aboard British Airways, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport before 5am on Friday, where some Nigerian officials welcomed them.
Harry’s visit was planned after he met with Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, and the Nigerian team during a tournament in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 2023.
The couple had a closed-door meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff, before proceeding to Kaduna to meet with injured soldiers at a military hospital.
They will attend a training session organised by Unconquered, the charity that works with the Invictus Games, and a reception hosted by CDS in honour of military families.
Meghan will co-host an event later Saturday afternoon with WTO boss, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
The couple will attend a Sunday basketball clinic with Giants of Africa, a cultural reception, and a polo fundraiser for the charity.
