President Bola Tinubu will address the nation in a nationwide broadcast at 7am, on Sunday.
A statement by presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, said television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.
The presidential broadcast is coming amid the #EndBadGovernance protest, which commenced on Thursday across the country.
The 10 days demonstration is a protest against the economic hardship in the country.
In the northern part of the country, the protest has been marred by violence, looting, and destruction of public and private properties.
But the protest has been largely peaceful in the South.
On Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asked Tinubu to immediately address Nigerians.
The PDP said the president’s silence has heightened the agitation.
