The killing of notorious gang leader, Don Waney by security agencies will go a long way in boosting security of lives and property in Rivers State, the state government has said.
The state’s Commissioner for information, Emma Okah, however pointed out that several lessons can be learned from the killing of the suspected mastermind of the New Year day’s massacre.
The information commissioner also commended the Presidency for the support during the manhunt for those responsible for the Omoku killings.
He also advised police to work hand in hand with the state government in the fight against crime.
The Rivers State Government has in the meantime given a reassurance of its continued support for security agencies as they close in on other members of late Don Waney’s gang.
