Samsung is working on an app to help premature babies hear their parents while still in the incubator in the hospital.
The app is called Voice of Life. According to Engadget, the app lets parents record their heartbeat and voice on their phone, which ‘wombifies’ the audio to play on a small speaker in the incubator.
This technology aims to help parents connect with their children in the crucial first weeks or months following their birth.
The speaker is setup inside of the incubator, which is connected to the app, and streams sounds to the baby inside.
It is not clear to when this technology will be finished or when it will be on the market.
