Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan was allegedly humiliated on Wednesday by security operatives and aviation officials at the Port Harcourt International airport.
Mrs. Jonathan who was on her way to the burial of her late Chief Security Officer (CSO), Tamuno Jacob Igbomie, a Deputy Superintendent of Police was reportedly barred from the VIP Lounge of the airport to catch her flight, according to New Telegraph.
It was gathered she was told by those on duty that she would not use the facility and all efforts by her personal aides to pacify security agents and aviation staff at the airport were rebuffed as they insisted she could not access the lounge.
The officials told Mrs Jonathan’s entourage that they were acting on an order from Abuja as the former first lady was also barred from using the VIPs Lounge after attending the burial.
It will be recalled that the deceased former CSO to Patience Jonathan was shot dead by unknown assailants about three weeks ago.
Igbomie’s corpse was found in his Honda Accord car along Airport Road, Abuja with all his phones, wallet and other personal effects in the car untouched.
