The Nigerian Senate approved the nomination of 45 non-career ambassadors on Thursday.
The Senate rejected two nominees: Sylvanus Nsofor of Imo State and Jacob Daodu of Ondo State.
According to the Nigerian Senate’s Twitter page, Daodu was rejected over a negative DSS report which called him “deceitful” and hinting that he had “indulged in corrupt practices” during his time as chairman of road construction.
Mr. Nsofor was rejected based on the Committee on Foreign Affairs’ report, according to the Senate’s Twitter.
