Balogun, who recently received an award as the most media friendly senator from the Oyo State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), vowed to use his mandate to make Oyo South senatorial district better, stressing that he has every reason to consider his 2019 electoral victory a special gift from God for defeating a sitting governor.

He is renowned for facilitating jobs, projects and financial support for his constituents.
