Senator-elect, Sharafadeen Alli commends INEC on peaceful elections

Senator-elect for Oyo South District, Chief Sharafadeen Alli, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), saying aside the reports of disturbances by hoodlums at Gate and Oje areas of the of Ibadan earlier in the day, the election has been peaceful.

Alli, who spoke after voting in the ongoing gubernatorial and assembly elections on Saturday, disagreed with the general observation of low turn-out, saying it only looked so because INEC officials came early this time.

He said more people would still come out to vote before 2:30pm.

The senator-elect expressed confidence that APC candidates will emerge victorious at the emd of the exercise.
