There was rumpus on the floor of the Senate today when Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and senator representing Lagos central, sat on the chair meant for the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
Ekweremadu, who on Tuesday, claimed that there was an assassination attempt on his life, was absent at today’s plenary.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators, rebuked her when she stood at Ekweremadu’s corner and to second a motion.
She bowed to pressure and left for her seat to second the motion. But she later returned to Ekweremadu’s seat.
She sat giddily in the deputy senate president’s seat, occasionally conversing with Aliyu Ndume, senate leader.
