Tennis superstar, Serena Williams took to social media this afternoon to express awe at Nigeria’s bobsledding team at the winter Olympics.
The team is Africa’s first in the ice race.
Serena shared a new video by Beats by Dr. Dre in the latest release of #AboveTheNoise campaign, marvelling at the audacity and boldness of Akuoma Omeoga, Ngozi Onwumere and Seun Adigun.
The short inspiring video showed the three ladies training with an inspiring speech on legacy and determination to succeed playing in the background.
Serena said she is so excited to watch Nigeria compete in the winter Olympics.
She tweeted: “This video literally gave me chills, I am so excited to watch Nigeria compete in the winter Olympics bobsledding race the first time an African country has ever competed in bobsledding! ✊[email protected] #abovethenoise”
The “Above The Noise” campaign recognises talents who have risen against all odds. The video is also the campaign track for G-Eazy and Zoe Nash’s “The Beautiful & Damned”.
