Engr. Seyi Makinde has been sworn in as the 28th Governor of Oyo State.
Makinde took his oath of office and oath of allegiance at about 12: 22pm in company of his wife, Omini and three children. The oath was administered by the Chief Judge, Munta Abimbola.
The deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, also took the oath also in the company of immediate family members including wife and children.
Poor crowd control however hampered smooth events at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium which was full to the brim. The new governor had a tough time inspecting the guard of honour due to the uncontrollable crowd.
Security agents, while trying to send the crowd away from the area where the parade would take place, even sent journalists standing around away.
