Soldiers on a revenge mission allegedly stormed Kadarko Chiefdom community of Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State in the weekend, killing 30 people in the community.
The traditional ruler of Tarok native in Wase Local Government Area, Chief lot Nden, who confirmed the incident, revealed that the Army came in their numbers and attacked major Taroh settlements.
Areas attacked include- Saku, Wadata Kasuwa, Wadata mission Kurmi and Kadarko town, all in Wase.
Reports said the atack was in revenge of six of their colleagues who were killed by unknown persons in the community.
A villager, who escaped the attack corraborated Chief Nden’s story, saying that women, children and property worth millions of naira were destroyed in Kadarko and other five villages.
He also said that the Army, who came in armoured tankers and three trucks opened fire on poor civilians from different locations.
The Army and Police are yet to react to the incident.
