The South West Group of Online Publishers, SWEGOP, has congratulated Muslims in the region as well as their counterparts through out the country as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
SWEGOP, in a press statement issued and signed by the Protem Chairman, Olayinka Agboola and Publicity Secretary, Remi Oladoye, urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the teachings of Allah and use the occasion to pray for God’s blessings for Nigeria.
The forum harped on the need for tolerance and peaceful coexistence irrespective of religious, tribe or political affiliations.
While raising the hopes of Nigerians that better days are ahead, the group maintained that “with our continued steadfastness, honest dealings with one another and total commitment to the growth of the nation, we shall surely get to the land of promise”.
SWEGOP, however, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to be more firm and focused in his fight against corruption as well as protecting the territorial integrity of the nation.
The release further stated “tough times do not last, tough people do. Nigerians need to pray and work towards the success of the present administration. If the government makes headways, Nigerians will feel it in terms of availability of basic infrastructures like power, water, good roads, security and others.”
