The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the elections of Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, dealt a death-blow to all the wishes of Senator Rashidi Ladoja of Accord Party, to get the governor’s election nullified.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday in a unanimous verdict dismissed Ladoja’s appeal for lack of merit. The former governor had earlier lost at both the election tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
The court fixed February 15 to give reasons for its unanimous judgment in the election.
The apex court also dismissed the appeal against the elections of Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and that of Yobe State Governor.
The court said the appeal by Emehor Otega of the All Progressives Congress and Great Ogboru of Labour Party against Governor Okowa’s election was an abuse of court process.
The Supreme Court said that it would give the reasons for the three judgments on February 15.
