Terrorists have threatened to abaduct President Muhammadu Buhari, few weeks after his convoy was attacked in Katsina State.
The advance team of the president was attacked on its way to Buhari’s hometown of Daura ahead of the Eid-el-Futri celebration.
Two persons sustained injuries in the attack, which the presidency said was repelled.
The attack on the convoy happened on the day the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) attacked Kuje Prison, and freed over 800 inmates, including all the terrorists in detention.
A video that circulated online showed the terrorists who abducted over 60 passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, the jubilated when the Kuje inmates were released.
According to Daily Trust, the terrorists who abducted passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train have now threatened to abduct and kill Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
The terrorists, according to the medium, also boasted in a video that they would destroy the country, kill the remaining passengers in their custody and sell out the others.
Some of the Abuja-Kaduna train passengers were released few weeks ago after their families reportedly payid N100 million each.
