President Bola Tinubu has officially resumed at his office inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The vice president, Kashim Shettima, was the first to arrive at his new office on Tuesday afternoon.
Tinubu, who arrived the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, at exactly 2:30 pm, a day after he was sworn-in as the 16th President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, was received after emerging from the his black Mercedes Benz Maybach Sedan car by Shettima, State House Permanent Secretary, Mallam Tijjani Idris Umar and Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye.
Others who received Tinubu include Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; Rep James Faleke; Wale Edun; Dele Alake; Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN), Godwin Emefiele and the Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited ( NNPCL), Mele Kyari.
The president thereafter had a closed door meeting with Emefiele and Kyari. The meeting was his first official assignment at the Presidential Villa.
Tinubu had during his inauguration on Monday, announced the removal of fuel subsidy and his resolve to reduce high interest rates, which he described as dis- incentives to attracting investments.
The announcement has led to the return of fuel queues across the country, despite assurances by the NNPCL of sufficient supply of the commodity.
