All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has spoken about the rumours making the rounds that he is considering picking a Muslim as his running mate.
Tinubu made the clarification while addressing newsmen at the APC governorship rally in Ekiti State, on Tuesday.
He distanced himself from the rumours, saying that the carriers were undemocratic elements that are already threatened by his imminent victory at the 2023 presidential election.
“The VP slot belongs to the North Eastern region and particularly the Christians, but consultations are still ongoing as to who will be decided,” he said.
Tinubu assured all and sundry that no group, institution or person can impose a running mate on him.
