Two persons suspected to be providing medical services to bandits have been arrested in Buruku, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
He also said that three people were killed by bandits in separate attacks on communities in state.
Giving details of the attacks, Aruwan said bandits invaded Rafin Roro village in Kajuru Local Government Area, and killed one person. He added that eleven rounds of AK-47 ammunition were found at the location by security operatives.
In a similar attack, a resident was reportedly killed at a settlement near Maraban Jos, in Igabi Local Government Area.
The bandits were also said to have attacked and killed one person at the outskirts of Garu village, in Igabi Local Government Area, after they rustled an unspecified number of cows.
The commissioner said security operatives engaged the bandits and one of the bandits was found roaming about in the bush, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
He added that security agents have been dispatched to the affected areas to locate the gunmen.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, expressed sadness over the killing of the residents and condoled with their family members.
