The Kwara State governorship candidate of United Democratic Party (UDP), Oyabambi Adetunji has congratulated the All Progressive Congress, (APC) candidate, Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq on his emergence as governor-elect.
Abdulrahaman, currently representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, polled 331,546 against his closest rival, the People Democtatic Party (PDP) candidate, Rt. Hon. Razak ATUNWA 114,856, in Saturday’s governorship election.
The APC also won all the seats in the State House of Assembly.
Recall that Mr. Oyabambi, some days before election, declared support for the candidacy of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Abdulrazaq Abdulrahaman.
Oyabambi’s statement reads: “Kwarans have spoken clearly to the entirety with their votes and have overwhelmingly voted for a government they believe will bring back the lost glory of our dear state which has been robbed for years under Saraki hegemony.
“It’s on these notes I congratulate with great pleasure the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress for a historical and resounding victory yesterday.
” While I congratulate the Governor- elect, Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq and his deputy, Kayode Alabi on their well deserved victory, let me also congratulate all APC chieftains, stakeholders for keeping faith with the APC”.
Oyabambi, while congratulating Kwarans on the victory of ‘O to ge’ mantra; he also urged Kwarans to support the Governor-elect to achieve his campaign promises.
