Uganda-born French long distance runner, Abraham Kiprotich, has won the 3rd Access Bank Lagos City Marathon returning 2hrs 15mins o4secs.
Nigerian, Ilya Pam, from Plateau State, won the indigenous race with 2hrs 27mins.
The 42km IAAF Bronze Label Race started at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos and terminated at Eko Atlantic.
Over 100,000 people participated in the race which had over $200,000 to be won.
Kiprotich goes home with cash prize of $50,000. The 2nd placed runner goes home with $40,000 whike the 3rd place runner goes with $30,000.
Ethiopian, Herpha Guta, won the female category. She also goes home with $50,000.
