Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Aisha Alhassan a.k.a (Mama Taraba) has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has tendered her resignation from the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.
She was recently disqualified from contesting the Taraba governorship primaries of the party and no reason was given for the decision.
In her resignation letter to President Buhari, Mrs Alhassan said the party obviously did not consider her fit to be minister if it could find her unfit for governorship.
The president is yet to publicly acknowledge her resignation.
In a letter to the ward chairman of the party in the state on Saturday, she said she was withdrawing as a member of the APC because of the grave injustice done to her by the National Working Committee of the party.
She is yet to announce her new party.
