In order to have a united front in the 2023 presidential election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has inaugurated a 21-man reconciliatory committee to settle the disputes that arose from its congresses and primaries in the state.
The state chairman of the party, Mr Isaac Omodewu, inaugurated the committee at the party’s secretariat in Oke Ado, Ibadan, on Saturday.
He charged members of the party to cooperate with the committee in order to find amicable resolution to the crisis rocking the party in the state.
Omodewu added that the party would be expecting first situation report in the next two weeks.
In a remark, the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Sen. Teslim Folarin, said the committee comprises of men and women of values and integrity.
“They are undoubtedly among the true faces of progressive party in Oyo State and I have no iota of doubt that they will deliver on their mandate,” he said.
Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, who represented Oyo South Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015 is the chairman of the reconciliatory committee, while the state secretary of the party, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, will also serve as the secretary of the committee.
