President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that he plans to request a formal recount in Wisconsin, where Democratic nominee, Joe Biden holds a slim lead after nearly all the votes in the state have been counted.
In a statement, his campaign managet, Bill Stepien, said:”Wisconsin has been a razor thin race as we always knew that it would be.
Stepien claimed that there have been numerous “irregularities” during the voting in Wisconsin, adding: “The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so.”
Nearly all the votes in the state have been counted in the presidential election.
The result shows Biden leading Trump by more than 20,000 votes, with an estimated 99% of the vote in. A total of 3.3 million votes have been counted in the state.
