Virgin Atlantic on Monday lost a luggage belonging to Formula 1 driver, Lewis Hamilton. The Sun UK reports that the furious car racer was kept waiting for an hour in a baggage claim hall after landing at Heathrow.
It was learnt that his cases had been left behind on the tarmac in Los Angeles.
The flight VS24 landed at 3.51pm and at 4.45pm, he was still in limbo, after watching other passengers collect their bags.
The report said the 32-year-old went 24 hours without his bags before they were put on another flight and returned.
Virgin Atlantic said: “We are very sorry Mr Hamilton’s bags enjoyed an extended pit stop in LA.
“Our team rounded them up and raced them to London, where they crossed the finish line a day behind schedule.”
