The Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), Dr. Sola Akande, has promised to register all tertiary institutions in the state into the health insurance scheme.
Akande disclosed this while speaking on a radio station in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
“What we are doing as we begin Omituntun 2.0 in our agency now is to bring in all the Institutions in Oyo State into health insurance. The students, the workers and that is what we have started. I am sure by the time we will get to the end of June, we would have had all our institutions come on board Oyo State health insurance, both the students and workers.
“As we speak today, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) students, the teaching hospital workers, Oke-Ogun Polytechnic students, Senator Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University are on the scheme.
“We still have many institutions to cover and that is our preoccupation. Another thing we want to put at the front burner is our adoption model,” the OYSHIA boss said.
