The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), Dr. Sola Akande, has revealed that 36,000 persons have been enrolled in the free health insurance scheme, adding that the enrollees will start accessing healthcare on April 1, 2022.
He said the primary health care centers have been inspected to make sure that everything is in good condition towards the take off of the scheme.
“The beneficiaries will enjoy the scheme from inception.
“We already have over 36000 enrolles that have been captured into the scheme and we will still go back to some local government that did not turn up well,” he said.
Akande also disclosed that students and staff of First Technical University have start accessing health care from January. He encouraged other tertiary institutions to join the scheme.
The Executive Secretary added that the turn up of religious organisations have been on the average, noting that with adequate follow up, it is yielding results.
