The White House has released the transcript of the controversial phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky.
The content of the July 25 phone call has caused Democrats in Congress to initite an impeachment enquiry on Trump who a whistleblower alleged pressured Zelensky for details of an investigation on ex-Vice President, Joe Biden in exchange for US military aid.
According to the transcript, Trump asked Zelensky to work with the U.S. attorney general to investigate the conduct of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and offered to meet with the foreign leader at the White House after he promised to conduct such an inquiry. The memo did not show where US military aid was used to bargain.
