The media director to legal icon, Chief Adeniyi Akintola, Mr Bolaji Oladepo has revealed that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria wants to become the governor of Oyo State because he has what it takes to turn around the state for good.
Speaking at an interactive session with journalists on Wednesday, Oladepo said governance has gone beyond politics, adding that it needs somebody who understands the technicalities of politics and development like Akintola.
He said: “Oyo State needs someone who understands politics and development and how to navigate the murky waters because there will always be opposition and how you handle everything matters a lot.
“If you have a plan, you need good executors that can help you implement it and contribute to the society and Chief Akintola already have all these.”
Oladepo said the All Progressives Congress chieftain is a man with a vision and good planner that knows how to navigate rough parts.
“He has documents education, environment, health and so on that he is polishing and updating every day. At the right time, he will make it public.
“This is a man that rose from nothing to become something through hard work. If he can turn his life around from somebody who doesn’t have hope to someone that gives people hope, he will turn around Oyo State. He is not going to be government as usual person,” Oladepo stated.
The media director assured that the legal icon will address the media on his aspiration soon, saying “people will get to know about his programmes for Oyo State in due course.”
Present at the interactive session are Alhaji Razaq Ekundayo; a former secretary of Ibadan North Local Government, Alhaji Owolabi Adeniyi and a former councillor, Mr Afeez Abass.
