Wizkid, Tems win 2023 iHeart Radio Award

Nigerian singers,Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, and Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, have won the 2023 iHeart Radio Awards.

The duo who delivered the international smash hit, Essence, shared the Best Afrobeat Artist award at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

They defeated other Afrobeat stars, including Ckay, Fireboy,and Burna Boy to take home the award.

Tems also won the Best Hip Hop Collaboration for her contributions to Future’s Wait For U.

She was also nominated for Best R&B song for her hit single, Free Mind, but lost to SZA’s ‘I Hate You’.
