The Academic Board of Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, has expelled 73 students of the college for presenting suspected forged results.
According to a statement issued by the college on Monday said that the affected students were those pursuing part-time programs for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma.
The statement added that the affected students registered for 2013/2014 academic session. The results were discovered during the verification exercise of Senior Secondary School Certificates and National Diploma results. It said further that 46 students for National Diploma and 27 students for Higher National Diploma were affected.
“All affected students are advised to hand the property of the college in their possession, including student identity cards, to their various heads of department, the librarian and the dean of students’ affairs with immediate effect,’’ the statement said.
