The Yobe State government has moved the weekly Damaturu market day from Monday to Sunday.
A statement from the Governor’s Director of Press Affairs, Abdullahi Bego, said that the decision followed consultations with heads of law enforcement agencies in the state.
Itwould be recalled that the weekly Damaturu Market day was shifted to Monday after it was earlier completely stopped for a period in the wake of the security challenges in the state.
The statement advised marketers, traders and the general public that from Sunday, October 2, 2016, the weekly Damaturu Market day would be marked every Sunday.
Governor Ibrahim Gaidam urged people to continue to pray for peace and improved security across the State and the nation in general.
